Monthly Archives: September 2014
Danspirations established in 2014 in Tadcaster. As well as being an Associated with the BATD (British Association of Teachers of Dancing) we also hold a DBS check from 2014.
With classes for children and adults of all ages, it is a fun friendly place to come to keep fit and meet new people! Our classes have a relaxed atmosphere to allow everyone to enjoy their dance experience and progress to their best potential in their own time – everyone will learn differently and this is to be expected. Throughout the year there will be examinations, workshops, competitions and displays and which are optional to take part in. And at the end of each term of children’s classes the class will be open and the parents can watch and see how their children have progressed.
PRINCIPAL – CLAIRE SPENCE
Claire started dancing at the age of three in her hometown of Aberdeen, Scotland where she attended the Edith Duncan MBE School of Dancing. While training here, Claire won many titles including four times Scottish Ballet Champion, BATD Ballet Scholarship winner and Millennium Masters Champion of Champions. From here, Claire attended The Hammond School in Chester, England where she trained intensively in Classical Ballet and Musical Theater. Claire graduated with a National Diploma in Professional Dance. Since graduating Claire has traveled the world dancing on tour, on cruise ships and also in UK pantomimes over the Christmas seasons.
Through Danspirations Claire hopes to pass on her love for dance to others.
