ADVENTURE PHOTOGRAPHY

Junior Mac operator/computer operative

 

We are a fast growing company in the photography sector looking to recruit a mac operator/computer operative to join our friendly team of dedicated staff. The successful candidate will be required to do a range of different computer tasks on both a Mac and a PC mostly on the Adobe Creative Suite packages.

Job description:

The main tasks of the job (but not limited to): photography manipulation and retouching. The role will also include creating print ready artwork from design briefs.

The candidate

We are looking for a person who has a keen eye for detail, who is able to consistently produce high standards of work while managing their own time and workload. They will also be required to use our bespoke company software in which full training will be given.

Required skills

Exceptionally competent on both Mac and PC . Proficient in the Adobe creative suite, most importantly: Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Bridge. Knowledge in desktop publishing software; ie. Quark or InDesign

Candidates will be required to undergo a series of tasks to access their ability within the Creative suite software. A DNS check will be carried out on the successful candidate.

ADVENTURE PHOTOGRAPHY

Order Packers/ seasonal work with annualised hours

 

We are a fast growing company in the photography sector looking to recruit an order packer to join our friendly team of dedicated staff. This position is salaried using an annualised hours formula and would suit someone who does not want a full time position or has children at school as most (although not all) school holidays need not be worked. This is a seasonal job to work around our busy times of year, especially the 3 months period up to Christmas. You may also be trained to use our gift making equipment as everything is manufactured at our Tadcaster premises.

Job description:

The main tasks will be to pack and check orders for direct delivery to customers and schools.

The candidate

We are looking for a person who has a keen eye for detail, who is able to consistently produce high standards of work while managing their own time and workload. Incorrect orders can greatly impact on our business workflow so a  consistent and professional attitude to the job is vital.

Required skills

The candidate will have exceptional organisation skills and be expected to pack and calculate delivery of orders within a limited given timescale.

ADVENTURE PHOTOGRAPHY

Delivery driver/ seasonal work with ‘ad hoc’ hours between 9 am and 3 pm

 

We are a fast growing company in the photography sector looking to recruit a delivery driver to join our friendly team of dedicated staff. This position is on an ‘ad hoc’ basis with most of the work during the three month period up to Christmas and would suit someone who does not want a full time position or has children at school as school holidays need not be worked. This is a seasonal job to work around our busy times of year, especially the 3 months period up to Christmas but also in May, June and July.

Job description:

The main tasks will be delivery to customers and schools.

The candidate

We are looking for an exceptionally personable and friendly candidate who is an excellent timekeeper. You will be required to work under the direction of our packing and admin department

Required skills

The candidate will have exceptional timekeeping, planning and organisation skills. You must hold a clean current full UK driving licence and you will be required to pass a DBS check

2Tadcaster Swimming Pool Trust
has a vacancy for a
Sports Apprentice

 

The Institute of Swimming in partnership with the Tadcaster Swimming Pool Trust offer the apprenticeship and you will undertake the following qualifications:

ASA UKCC Level 1 Teaching Aquatics (If not already held)

ASA UKCC Level 2 Teaching Aquatics

Level 2 Diploma in Coaching Learn to Swim (QCF)

Level 2 Award in Employment Awareness in Active Leisure and Learning

Functional Skills English & Maths (if required)1

Salary:- £4500 per annum. (All training courses will be paid for by the Trust and the opportunity to work overtime will also be available)
Hours:- 32 hours per week

In addition, the employer would expect the apprentice to achieve the National Pool Lifeguard Qualification so the ability to swim 50 metres in under 60 seconds would be essential prior to taking this qualification.

The successful applicant will work alongside a team and be expected to work on a shift rota including evening and weekend work.
