Tadcaster – Monday 6th May – Tadcaster Triathlon – The bike takes a rural route towards the villages of Boston Spa and Bramham before returning to Tadcaster. The run follows the road to Newton Kyme along a tarmac path by the road where it turns back towards Tadcaster on an unsurfaced footpath along the river bank. Tadcaster Albion Clubhouse – AN EVENING WITH WITH KEN MONKOU- THURSDAY 23rd MAY 2013 from 7:30pm. Dutch defender, Ken Monkou played for Feyenoord, Chelsea, Southampton and Huddersfield Town. He is best known for his career at Chelsea where in 1989, his first season with the club, he became the club player of the year. He remained with Chelsea until 1992, when he was sold to Southampton for £750,000. He remained The Saints for seven years before joining Huddersfield in 2000. Monkou made a return to Chelsea during the 2002-2003 season before retiring from the game. He will talk about his career & then there will be a question & answer session. There also a few what I call “Premium” sections these are £20 and this includes a 6ft table and 2x2ft tables which will be set up in an “L” shape plus room for a small stand of your own. These are sections which are made inbetween the pillars of the hall when set up it will be like your own little area. These are on a first come first serve basis.
On the day there will also a licenced bar and cafe.
In the entrance hall there will be a Tombola raising money for the charity, so if you would like to donate anything for the tombola please bring it on the day.

It is the swimming pools major fundraising event of the year and involves the whole community.
Any community groups in the town are welcome to have a stall to raise funds for their own cause.

We already have Cake Stall, Tombola, Wet sponge throwing, Lucky Dip, Bouncy Castle, Golf Ball Wizard, Face Painting, Penalty Football.
The Lower Wharfe Canoe Club have a ‘Come and Try’ hour prior to the duck race and they then assist us in getting the ducks out of the water at the end of the race.
